JP Prime & Marketing org is looking for a dedicated and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Associates (affiliate marketing) team! As a successful candidate, you are to own relationship development and management with key publisher and media partners in JP who participate in Amazon Associates Program, our Affiliate and Influencer Marketing program. You would create and execute business development and account growth strategy, and contribute to the program growth through expanding our media coverage and activities.

In this position, you as one of program leaders would represent our Associates Program to Japan's most prominent and sought after publishers and media, as well as to our internal Retail Team partners and WW channel partners.

Key job responsibilities

• Owns business development and account growth target, strategy development, execution, and performance reporting of your assigned publisher and media partners.

• Study and understand JP customer behavior around affiliate and influencer marketing, market landscape and trend, program parity, and support development and execution of program improvement plan.

• Plan and execute elasticity experiments to understand media partner behavior, and identify incremental partner growth opportunity.

• Share learnings and best practice on business development and account growth management to support our business development management process innovation.

A day in the life

Based on the BD and account growth strategy you have created, you manage (1) business development for new partner on-boarding, and (2) account growth management of existing media partners, daily. You report performance of assigned BD accounts, and identify incremental growth opportunity of your partner media. You contribute to business docs such as WBR (Weekly Business Review), MBR, and QBR, and participate in review MTGs/Calls to represent the assigned media partner performance to JP and WW stakeholders. You contribute to develop program strategy, ops plan, financial target annually (OP1, OP2).

About the team

Associates team focuses on expanding our affiliate marketing partner coverage and activities, and Product Sales and Profit Margin from partner activities are our main KPI. The team has business development, marketing management, and program management functions locally in JP. Aside from other Automated Performance Marketing channels such as Paid Search and Social Advertising, Associates Program team works closely with XCM, Deals & Events team, Legal team and WW Creator teams to engage with our customer through media partners to drive transaction performance growth. Associates BD Manager reports to Head of Associates who reports to Head of Category & Channel Marketing.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ year experience in business development and/or account management.

• Deep knowledge of digital marketing technologies and industry landscape.

• Strong ownership to proactively identify business development and account growth opportunity. Proposing solutions, negotiating terms, and driving account performance.

• Ability to dive deep with hands-on analysis and execution and passion for scientific decision making; ability to turn analysis into actionable insights.

• Language: Fluent level Japanese.

• Language: Intermediate level English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in affiliate and influencer marketing.

• Experience and knowledge in digital media marketing and content marketing.

• Experience and knowledge in collaborating with global business and technology team.

• Language: Business level English.
