In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage, oversee and implement of all Environment, Health, Safety and related regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, identify EHS performance gaps, and reduce risks at IDT’s San Diego and Redwood City, CA Operations.

  • Actively manage the overall EH&S Program and EH&S Committees at the site by directly supporting key EH&S programs (e.g. Hazardous Waste Management, Air Emissions Permitting, CERS and CAL-OSHA reporting, Workers’ Compensation, Respiratory Protection, etc.) to ensure compliance with CAL-OSHA, EPA and other regulatory requirements; and IDT EH&S Policies including the IDT EH&S Audit and Inspection Program.

  • Interact and coordinate with Regulatory Officials (Fire Marshall, CUPA, Cal-OSHA, etc.) in a professional manner regarding emergency planning, inspections, and audits.

  • Organize the daily workflow and facilitate the preparation and reporting of department metrics. Utilize daily management with the help of the Danaher Business System (DBS) tools. Partner with business/functional/DBS leaders on the development and implementation of action plans that drive closure of open issues and improvements in safety performance and environmental controls.

  • Oversee the EH&S training program by identifying training gaps, optimal methods for monitoring, measuring training effectiveness, and conducting training, as appropriate. Document and maintain appropriate EH&S records.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety and/or relevant experience as a Manager, Team Lead, or related experience.

  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Professional Certification (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001/45001

  • The Danaher Business System

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
