JPMorgan Chase Risk Management - Card Acquisition and Fraud Risk Strategy - Vice President in Plano, Texas

As a Fraud Risk Analyst in the Card Fraud Strategy Management group, you will be strategy and policy owner to various Card Service new account origination areas. This includes identifying optimization opportunities, developing value based strategies to mitigate acquisition risks and manage product general managers (GM) communications and external industrial partner meetings. This role requires providing high quality strategic solutions, strong project management results and C-level presentation/communication. You will excel at creative thinking and problem solving; be self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment!

Sample projects include: end-to-end portfolio monitoring with real-time anomaly detection. Conduct both loan level case review on fraudulent accounts and portfolio level analytics to diagnose the attack vectors. Develop/test/implement/track the mitigation solutions to prevent the fraudulent applications and losses. Lead partners from Digital Account Opening, Product, Marketing, Risk Architecture, Credit Risk and Operation teams on large scale and/or complicated solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts

  • Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle

  • Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers

  • Communicate with Executive stakeholders on fraud initiatives and solution discussion.

  • Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Master's degree and 4+ years of risk management required

  • Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field required

  • Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software

  • Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information

  • Familiarity with risk analytic techniques

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience delivering recommendations to management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Quantitative experience preferred
