Why this job matters

We have recently launched New EE, and as part of that we want to be the most personal brand in the UK. Our brand and communications play a crucial part in this transformation, and with the volume of Demand Generation campaigns we have in market at any one time, it’s a key interaction point with consumers.

You will be responsible for developing a long-term strategic plan for our Demand Generation comms which supports the objectives of the business, and the New EE brand. It’s an exciting and pivotal time at EE, which brings a myriad of partnerships, activations, and new news which you’ll lead in communicating to the UK via conversion led communications.

You will work with multiple teams and stakeholders across the business to ensure we are driving objectives for the core categories, and you will be the lead interface between the commercial and propositions teams, and the marcomms team. You will be accountable for the performance and optimisations of all campaigns, and reporting back to the business. Developing customer led communications and optimising the efficiency and delivery of all conversion led comms to customers, including dynamic adaptations and also insight testing to ensure optimum takeout.

Working with our top agencies, you will keep us at the forefront of category-leading creative, including evolving our advances into automation and AI.

This role leads a team of 11 campaign managers, which includes a planning manager and effectiveness manager, and covers all channels including BTL.

This role will also look at how we convert and transition our comms from BT and Plusnet to our new EE strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and execute demand generation strategies aligned with business objectives and targets.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of Demand Generation campaigns across all channels

  • Manage critical relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to align briefs and core campaign positioning and approach.

  • Effectively manage a multi-million pound budget to maximise efficiencies and achieve performance goals.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance, including lead generation, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.

  • Oversee the development of compelling content and creative assets that engage and educate prospects and drive them into our channels.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in demand generation to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing demand generation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.

  • Track and report on key performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership on the effectiveness of demand generation initiatives.

  • Leading the relationship with external agencies and partners.

The skills and experience you will have under your belt

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation strategies that drive both commercial and brand metrics.

  • Significant experience in delivering large-scale ATL advertising campaigns.

  • Deep understanding of performance marketing channels

  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.

  • Customer insight driven - taking products, offers, and messaging and turning them into customer focused campaigns.

  • Highly professional, able to cut through complexity and operate in a fast paced, matrixed business environment.

  • Bias towards bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where appropriate

  • Able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver brilliantly.

  • Relationship focused with an ability to influence and negotiate at all levels

  • Experienced leader – in particular within an environment where influencing, leading through ambiguity and complexity, inspiring creative minds, and justifying spend decisions is essential.

  • Experience in managing multi-million pound budgets.

  • Experience of managing a large team.
