Linnaeus Veterinary Physiotherapist in Higham Gobion, United Kingdom

Davies Veterinary Specialists are seeking an enthusiastic full or part-time veterinary physiotherapist to join our team to support and expand the established veterinary physiotherapy and rehabilitation services we provide.

Our services includes physiotherapy, acupuncture, pain management, hydrotherapy (underwater treadmill therapy) and orthotic clinics. Our multi-disciplinary team includes Chartered Physiotherapists specialising in small animals (ACPAT Cat A), European Board-Certified Veterinary Anaesthetists, Hydrotherapists and Therapy Assistants. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the 40-strong team of veterinary specialists from other clinical arenas that work at Davies Veterinary Specialists.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Provision of clinical and professional veterinary physiotherapy services for referred clients - both neurological and orthopaedic inpatients and outpatients

  • Participation in delivering veterinary physiotherapy based learning to Davies Veterinary Specialists colleagues and both internal and external CPD events

  • Completion of CPD requirements in accordance with the current recommendations of your governing body, dependent upon personal and practice CPD needs.

The successful candidate should be a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) Category A or B (2nd Year Veterinary Physiotherapy Students) or a member of the Register for Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP), and should ideally have experience working within a hospital environment. Hydrotherapy experience would be ideal although not essential.

Davies Veterinary Specialists are a multidisciplinary Veterinary referrals practice based in Higham Gobion, Hertfordshire. We provide an exceptionally high level of clinical and surgical care to clients and their pets, as well as referring vets and professionals. Our referral centre is highly equipped, and our team offers a warm and professional welcome to all.

All Veterinary Physiotherapists are expected to provide a consistently high quality and professional service for referring veterinary surgeons, clients and their animals. You will be fully supported in continually developing your skills internally, through regular in-service training, journal clubs and case reviews, in addition to external learning opportunities.

Starting salary from £32,000 pro rata based on experience.
