Missouri Slope Enrichment Assistant (PRN) in Bismarck, North Dakota

SCHEDULE:

PRN (as needed), hours vary. No weekends!

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

To set up and serve continental breakfast and noon meal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in a customer service industry preferred.

CPR Certified preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Will supervise and assist tenants during continental breakfast and dinner (noon meal).
  • Will clean kitchen and dining areas.
  • Sets up tables and coffee hour
  • Must be an emotionally stable and mature adult.
  • Must attend in-services when offered and demonstrate interest in learning.
  • Should be flexible and be able to adapt to changes in procedures, willing to accept changes in hours and assignments as the need arises.
  • Must have the ability to exhibit patience and be a caring person.
  • Must be able to work with or without supervision and be willing and able to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must be able to cooperate and work together with co-workers as a member of the team and not be disruptive to the working environment.
  • Should be able to organize workload to completion in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Personal appearance must be neat and clean with good personal hygiene. Must be willing to follow established dress code including the wearing of nametag at all times.
  • Must be punctual and dependable with attendance as scheduled.
  • Must be in good physical health with the ability to push or lift up to 25 pounds, 10-20% of an 8-hour shift and to walk, stand and reach 90% of an 8-hour shift. Must be able to use hand to finger, handle or feel.
  • This position requires good hearing acuity and the ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language well enough to communicate effectively with tenants and coworkers, as well as receive oral an/or written instruction.
  • Must have visual acuity requiring close vision sufficient to do paperwork, read to tenants, and perform craft activities with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Will maintain confidentiality of all tenant information and provide privacy by knocking on apartment doors and waiting for response to enter.
  • This employee will help promote Missouri Slope Assisted Living to prospective customers and families.
  • Safety precautions will be learned and followed. Will be responsible for adhering to safety policies and procedures established to protect the tenants and employees from unnecessary harm and injury.
  • Will be responsible to be aware of the Volunteer Protection Program (VPP) and Risk Management/Safety Program and will adhere to the established policies and procedures within the Missouri Slope Assisted Living facility and Missouri Slope Skilled Care with regards to job performance and safe operating procedures.
  • Will be responsible for adhering to infection control policies and procedures including proper hand washing, gloving and the use of personal protective devices.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • If a CMA, will assist with med pass from time to time.
  • May assist with yearly cleaning of Missouri Slope Assisted Living.
  • Other duties as requested by Director

WORKING CONDITIONS:

A well-lighted and well ventilated 64 apartment retirement community on 2 levels with carpeted

and vinyl floors.
