Oracle Principal SRE Engineer - DEVOPS Cloud Engineer in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

As a Senior SRE Engineer specializing in cloud technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and collaboration with development and operations teams to streamline the deployment and management of applications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on OCI platforms

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using cloudlab

  • Create automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks

  • Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

  • Work closely with development teams to integrate CI/CD standard methodologies into the software development lifecycle.

  • Set up and configure monitoring tools to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing regular updates on infrastructure status and improvements.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to internal knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on cloud technologies.

  • Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana).

  • Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

  • Excellent scripting skills (Bash, Python).

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
