User Research Coordinator
Hybrid - Redmond, WA area
Ongoing Managed Service
$23.00/hour
The User Research Coordinator carries out qualitative and quantitative study protocol, interfacing with participants in physical or virtual lab spaces and moderating sessions. This role may also support the Participant Care team as needed.
Primary responsibility:
Confidently demonstrates the ability to implement study session design to ensure optimal quality and efficiency of data collection.
Demonstrates expertise of Research Operations tools and processes required to conduct designated research activity.
Supports Participant Care team as needed by contacting potential participants, screening them and/or scheduling them. May also support Participant Care team in responding to participant inquiries to encourage attendance and minimize no-shows.
Supports Research Operations team with administrative responsibilities related to research activity.
Contributes to non-testing research activity tasks, such as, but not limited to:
Miscellaneous research projects
Miscellaneous business operations projects
Data coding
Confidentiality document processing
Lab and facilities maintenance
Tools and Tech development testing
Gameplay
Latency testing (video)
Qualifications:
General knowledge of, and working experience with, human observational research, experimental design and questionnaire research
Flexibility and a willingness to adapt. Must look for opportunities to adjust through applied feedback, must be able to shift focuses quickly
Must possess outstanding customer service, excellent communication skills including phone, email and electronic media communication
Must be extremely detail-oriented
Must have excellent interpersonal skills. This person will be working in a team environment but must also be able to work independently.
General knowledge and interest in popular computer and video games and game culture is required
A BA/BS in Psychology (cognitive, experimental or social), HCI/HFE, or experience in Human Factors or User Research is preferred, but not required
Must be located in the Redmond, WA area.
