Position Summary

 

Join our dynamic team in the Health Promotion and Education department as an adjunct instructor, where you will have the opportunity to teach various special topics courses and/or core program courses that delve into health promotion and related subjects, all through the lens of equity and social justice. We are looking for passionate educators who can teach the following courses:

 

HPM 394 -Special Topics in Health Promotion: Promoting Respectful Relationships (Summer 2024)

HPM 420 - Epidemiology and Health Care Statistics 5 CR (fall 2024)

 

Instructors who also have expertise that allow teaching other courses are highly desired.

 

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

 

Adjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.

 

Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $5,716.52 - $6,968.62. Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

In addition to teaching, faculty maintains office hours and may participate in department and college activities. This position is represented by the Bellevue College Association of Higher Education (BCAHE) union.
